We offer charters to experienced spearfishers, as well as closely supervised Introduction to Spearfishing classes. Here we teach the basics and lead you on a spearfishing trip. There are many classes available for divers of all levels. Dive Locker provides daily dive charters. We have a 40 foot boat that can accommodate up 18 divers. All of our charters include safe, friendly, and professional diving. The place is ideal for beginners and has a wide selection of diving gear. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
lso, you can see the historical wreck of E. E. Simpson Tug. It sank in 1929. Stage 2 (a Navy platform) was demolished in 1984. The FountainbleauBoxcars (two container cars and associated reef material) are also interesting. A pair of Voodoo Jets anchor in Seltzer Reservoir is another example.

You can dive Sunday morning and drive back to bed in the evening without worrying about your no fly schedule. The visibility is expected to be between 30'-50ft and the water temperature will range from 60s in winter to 80s summer. Hands are best for sharp edges on wrecks. You also need to bring gloves and a knife to cut through fishing line. More important than the absolute wave size is the wave interval in Panama City Beach's waters. Long interval waves create rollers. Short interval waves rock the boat up and make it hard for divers to see.
Panama City Beach was directly affected by Hurricane Michael, which was a category 4 hurricane in October 2018. It made landfall in the Panhandle with maximum sustained winds of 154 mph, and storm surges exceeding 10 feet. Hurricane-force winds impacted over 650 artificial islands.

You can also go snorkeling at St. Andrews State Park. High tide allows you to see the amazing rocky jetties of the park, which allow you to get up close and personal with ocean creatures such as redfish or octopus. They are known for personalizing their trips and can send you with a US Coast Guard-certified captain on the spearfishing or diving trip to your heart's content. You can choose to drop at natural limestone reefs or an artificial, made from fighter jets.
An Average Diver, at an Average Depth, With an Average Tank
Based on personal experience, an average open-water certified diver using a standard aluminum 80-cubic-foot tank on a 40-foot dive will be able to stay down for about 45 to 60 minutes before surfacing with a safe reserve of air still in the tank.
So just to reiterate: don't grab animals, don't hold them for photo ops, don't go for rides on dolphins or turtles, and don't force puffer fish to inflate (it can be fatal to them).
