There can be no more than 6 people (including children) per boat, as per Coast Guard regulations. The Family Cruiser has a maximum of 13 passengers.
Book a private tour with your group. Private charters allow you to extend your private dolphin tour by adding additional time (starting at 2 to 3 hours). This allows you to add more snorkeling locations, island time, and so on. Six passengers can be accommodated on a boat. The captain will show you how to get into the water and observe the dolphins in their natural habitat. Next, take a guided snorkel trip to see other marine life around Shell Island.

In the course of your excursion, you will visit Panama City Pass and explore the area where St. Andrews Bay and the Gulf of Mexico converge. Here, there are lots of dolphins, and what’s more, we’ll guide you on how to interact with them in the water.
Captain Jack was a marvellous man. He was extremely knowledgeable. We were able to decide what was most important, and dolphin sightings were the preferred option for the majority.
For a more intimate dolphin experience, with a smaller group, our dolphin Boat Tours last for 2 hours. You will have the chance to swim with dolphins and explore Shell Island. Take your own tour. Our captains are knowledgeable and experienced in finding the best spots for Dolphins to be seen.
The second leg of your St Andrews Bay wildlife excursion will take you to the best. These include pelicans, herons and ospreys as well as underwater marine life such as hermit crabs and sea horses. Shell Island is a great place to find sand dollars or shells. You can also snorkel on grass flats or explore St. Andrews Bay in the Gulf of Mexico.
On your excursion you will visit Panama City Pass as well as the area where St. Andrews Bay converges with the Gulf of Mexico. Here you will find dolphins. We will show the way to get in and close up.
Before the dolphins arrive you will be able to enter the water. Dolphins will become more curious about you and swim away from you. Dolphins can be picky and we have to "pretend" that they are not there. The more curious they become, the better.

Seeing and swimming with the dolphins in their natural habitat on your trip aboard super-comfortable boats. Our boats are actual dive boats so the children will love finding and seeing the dolphins and having the opportunity to snorkel in the water just like a real SCUBA diver.
Dolphins are most active at dawn, between 10 a.m. and noon, and from 2 p.m. to dusk. A good pair of telephoto lenses or binoculars can be extremely useful for spotting dolphins.

A: You can get to Shell Island by boat or jet ski. The St. Andrews Shuttle to Shell Island costs $24.95 for adults, $17.95 for children ages 2 to 12, and free for infants ages 0 to 1. There are also several locations where you can rent a jet ski or pontoon boat.
