Crosschain systems are flexible and can be used to adapt to many industrial processes. They are particularly well-suited to vehicle-assembly lines such as Bodyshop, Paintshop, and Bodyshop.
Our cross transfer conveyors are built to easily adapt to different process environments and constraints.
Conveyors and Cross Transfers DataPair your automated storage systems with our warehouse management solutions to boost productivity, accuracy and efficiency.
In an automated material handling system, poor pallet quality could be a problem. Although it is possible to place rollers closer together, poor pallet quality can be a problem. However, tighter roller centers can limit space for chain transfers. IK developed a chain transfer that can carry 4,000-pound loads. It is made from a 3/8" steel plate welded frame, which allows for 2-1/2 inch diameter rollers on 4-1/2” centers. This transfer has a chain take up design that can be adjusted without conveyor disassembly.
Robust, our Crosschain systems adapt to many industrial processes and constraints. They are specially well suitable for Bodyshop, Paintshop or vehicle-assembly lines.
At GSS Machinery, our automated solutions are designed to integrate into each stage of the supply chain and help you follow the key principles of material handling to ensure a seamless operation.
Storage equipment is usually limited to non-automated examples, which are grouped in with engineered systems. Storage equipment is used to hold or buffer materials during “downtimes,” or times when they are not being transported. These periods could refer to temporary pauses during long-term transportation or long-term storage designed to allow the buildup of stock. The majority of storage equipment refers to pallets, shelves or racks onto which materials may be stacked in an orderly manner to await transportation or consumption. Many companies have investigated increased efficiency possibilities in storage equipment by designing proprietary packaging that allows materials or products of a certain type to conserve space while in inventory.
10. Life Cycle Cost: Utilize a comprehensive analysis of life cycle costs on material handling equipment to ensure durability and sustainability. Consider different criteria, including programming, installation, setup, operation, repair and maintenance, reuse value and disposal.
Loose form materials can include liquid, food and minerals, such as stones and rocks, and metal items, such as bolts and nails.
Offered as the standard 3 Leg System with 16' of storage (minus width of the conveyor), or the 2 Leg System with 10' of storage (minus width of the conveyor)
From reducing unnecessary manual work to maximizing available space and tracking inventory in real-tine, GSS Machinery’s automated solutions are designed to help you adhere to these principles to streamline your warehouse operations.
5. Unit load: Reduce effort and time spent in the warehouse by using units such as containers or pellets.
Our range of Conveyors and cross transfer / cross transport handlers are primarily engineered to operate with powered chain sprocket-driven rollers for a vertical movement and a 90-degree transfer to either side through the use of a pop-up belt unit.
For full pallet transfers the lift mechanism incorporated is a wedge lift driven by an air cylinder. This arrangement provides very controlled vertical travel with a solid stable base in both the raised and lowered position.

Because this is an important decision point, conveyors are classified as either floor style or overhead style. Overhead styles come in a variety of shapes and sizes (see this graphic here on the different types).
