Two times we visited the shell island beach. One time we paid PS7.50 in order to park on/in the "island", and the second time we drove down the coast to Llanddwywe, to access a public carpark. The beach is enormous and so clean and beautiful.

The Gulf of Mexico's marine mammals include dolphins, whales and one species of coastal sirenian: the West Indian manatee (Trichechus Manatus). The Gulf of Mexico does not have sea lions or fur seals and no sea-going otters like in many other parts.
