Technical Divers go above and beyond recreational diving. Technical divers may dive further, deeper, more frequently, or overhead. They also use more exotic gas mixes to help with nrcosis, decompression, and other issues. If you're a professional diver, and want to see the deep end. This is the way you get there. Dive Locker offers a variety of dive options, such as taking you to Black Bart's famous shipwrecks and snorkeling at St. Andrews State Park. You can see many ocean creatures close up at the park's amazing rocky jetties, including redfish and octopus, when it is high tide. Dive Locker offers another charter option.
Our 40-foot boat can carry up to 18 divers. Our charters offer safe, friendly and professional diving. This place is great for the beginner diver. They have a great staff that is friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent diving classes for both beginners and experienced divers. Perfect! This is the place to be.
Dive Locker has a maximum of 14 scuba divers per trip to ensure everyone is comfortable and safe. Our charters can be accessed by the public, provided there is enough space. We typically run two trips per day during season. Technical Scuba Instructors are available from TDI.
Grey Ghost is an extended offshore dive and takes 6-8hrs to reach. While she's only a mere 105 foot vessel, what makes this dive so spectacular is the wide variety of aquatic life. Her resting place was at the edge a natural coral reef, which has been enriched with fiberglass boats and scraps of steel. This spot is an ideal habitat for fish. Panama City Beach is home to the El Dorado, Panama City Beach's most recent wreck. Hurricane Michael destroyed the ship in October 2018.
An Average Diver, at an Average Depth, With an Average Tank
Based on personal experience, an average open-water certified diver using a standard aluminum 80-cubic-foot tank on a 40-foot dive will be able to stay down for about 45 to 60 minutes before surfacing with a safe reserve of air still in the tank.
So just to reiterate: don't grab animals, don't hold them for photo ops, don't go for rides on dolphins or turtles, and don't force puffer fish to inflate (it can be fatal to them).
