Voortman built the CNC Drill Line only for GSS Machinery. Voortman manages the installation, warranty, service and maintenance of the CNC Drill Line. Voortman is the service provider. GSS Machinery is available to help if needed.
Not only will the CNC Drill Line process beams and columns, but it also easily processes all steel profiles including channel, angle, flat bar, base plates, RHS, square, and round profiles.

It can drill a maximum diameter of 12mm and a minimum diameter of 3/64'' (1mm). Maximum drill diameter is 12mm, minimum diameter is 3/64'' (1mm).

The attachment for 4-axis layout marking eliminates human error in manual layout. Even after galvanizing, blasting, and painting, part information can be retained.
CNC Drill Line can import DXF file and can use them for processing 3-D shapes provided the steel is detailed according specific rules. You might need to adjust some of these rules to match the details you are currently using. This process may not be as seamless as 3-D modeling software.
Even if you are programming the CNC Drill Line manually, it is easy to program. Peddimat machine programming software can be used and most operators will learn how to program most of the parts in under an hour. Of course practice makes perfect. It is best to program the machine by importing parts directly from a 3-D modeling program such as ProSteel 3D, StruMis, Tekla Structures, SDS/2 or StruMis. These files are imported directly into your machine. Once you have selected the part, hit the Cycle Start button.

Renishaw 5-Axis Calibration - This calibration unit is a Renishaw model APCA45, with a modified spherical tip. To remove dust and debris during activation, the device comes with a retractable cover. It attaches to a swing arm that is controlled by a pneumatic motor. This allows it to be out of the way during normal operation, and then swings into the calibration position.
Remote assistance is not always possible. It is still possible to have mechanical problems or ask questions that require a human eye. Voortman machines ship with high-definition webcams and software. Voortman employees can experience the installation's activity without ever leaving their office. In situations where communication is difficult or impossible, the webcam can be of great value.
It doesn't matter if a CNC drill isn't able to position a steel fabricator to be competitive in the steel fabrication market. AC Unit installed on Electrical Cabinet – The unit is mounted on cabinet's High Power side (480v). It is right next to the location of the drives. 5-Axis Renishaw Calibration – The calibration unit is a Renishaw model APCA45 with a modified spherical stylus. The device has a retractable cover and air purge to clear debris & dust during the activation process. It mounts to a swing arm controlled by a pneumatic rotary, so it is out of the way during regular operation and swings into the calibration position for calibration only.
