Our guides have been observing dolphin behavior for many years and are experts in locating bottlenose dolphins. They also safely guide our guests to how to enter water and observe the dolphins in their natural habitat. Your captain will accompany you on a snorkel trip to show you starfishes, pufferfishes and other types of sea animals.
The second leg will be spent spotting the best St Andrews Bay has for wildlife. These include pelicans, herons, ospreys, starfish, and underwater marine life like blue crabs (sea horses), hermit crabs, hermit crabs, and sea urchins. Species we frequently see include a variety of starfish, sand dollars, bay scallops, whelks, conchs up to 21” long, seahorses, urchins, and hermit crabs and other crab species. These animals can be brought to the surface, handled carefully, and photographed. We bring large containers so that even non-snorkelers can observe them up close before they’re released back into the bay. Shells found without living creatures can be taken home.

It was a great time. Christian, our captain, was great. Our group included children from 2 years to 81 years of age. Everyone had a lot of fun. We were able to touch a jellyfish from a cannonball, saw dolphins and went on a boat ride to Shell Island. Christo was friendly, knowledgeable and polite. Christo was our captain and we will be returning. Lagoon Pontoons' booking staff was very friendly and easy to deal with. They were able to answer all our questions and offer suggestions on how to accommodate toddlers and seniors. 5 stars!! !
