The western half of Shell Island is part of the St. Andrews State Park. It’s as natural as Florida gets. Which means that you won’t be stopping at a concession stand or stopping at a picnic table. But you will get a chance to see some of the most beautiful, untouched wild land left on the East Coast. Get a chance to see a variety of endangered species.
Shell Island, a 7-mile-long barrier island and beach in the southern part of St. Andrews State Park, is undeveloped. The island can be reached by private boat or via the Shell Island Cruise. It is a must-see for anyone who wants to enjoy pristine beaches. There are many great options for snorkeling and swimming. You can explore the natural habitats of rare Florida wildlife and plants by hiking inland.
North Lagoon will be your destination. After you turn left, you will go past their parking lots and the Lighthouse Marina. On the right side of the road, we will be under the trees/down on a gravel road. We will have signs displaying our company name.
We're well-known for our famous Rum Punch, but we also have an stocked bar with wine and beer. All snacks are $2.00. Onboard, there are restrooms. Our experienced captains and crew will take you on a sailing adventure to paradise with Island Time.
The Park is situated along miles of sugar-sand coastline that is consistently rated as America’s best beach. St. Andrews State Park covers 1200 acres and offers boating, camping, swimming and watersports, fishing, hiking, and bird/wildlife watching. Turn onto North Lagoon as if you were headed to Captain Anderson's. After the turn you will continue past their parking lot AND past the Lighthouse Marina. We will then be on the right hand side underneath the trees/down a gravel road. There will be signs out front with our company name.
Shell Island is seven miles of undeveloped scenery between the Gulf and St. Andrew Bay. At one point, Shell Island was inhabited by Native Americans, Spanish Settlers, and even pirates.
Once you get there it is all worth it, as it is the most beautiful water I've ever seen. It is like you are swimming in a pool. It is so crystal clear. We didn't know what to expect so we went planning to spend a few hours on the island. Come expecting to spend all day!

This island is not as secluded as you see on the pictures and we couldn't find any of the cool shells either. (I understand that it's nature and can't be controlled).
