Many people want to know what type of fish they can catch in Panama City Beach. It is not easy to answer this question because the variety and abundance of fish in our waters is amazing. They include the common grouper and red snapper, flounder and Spanish mackerel as well as the exotic triggerfish, amberjack and pompano. When the sailfish and king mackerel run, October through December is when you can catch the best fishing, while January through April is when the big reds arrive.
