For divers with different levels of experience, we offer several classes.
In 1985, a Navy hovercraft that measured 100 feet fell apart. The twin aluminum pontoons still stand 10 feet off the ocean floor and are in excellent condition. The hovercraft is quite unusual and would not be considered a dive site unless it was so close to Black Bart. You can still swim laps and glide up and down the stairs.
We offer Technical Scuba Training Classes at TDI. Technical Divers dive beyond recreational diving. This may mean diving deeper, longer and higher up, as well as using more exotic gas mixes to help with narcosis. If you are an experienced diver and want to reach the depths of a pool, this is the right place for you. This is how it happens. We have Intro To Tech, Advanced Nitrox or Deco Procedures, Trimix or Advanced Trimix available. We have everything you need for fun, expert-level classes that use top quality gear at full price.
You want to do something completely different? Your Open Water Scuba Diving certification will be issued in just three days. Your certification will be valid for your entire life. There are no classes that are too small to cause scheduling problems. Refreshers are also available for those who haven't dived in a while. Call us to get on our schedule.
Scuba Dive Panama City Beach limits dive trips to 14 divers in order to provide comfort and ample space for all. If there's space, all charters are available to the public. We usually offer 2 trips per day during the season.
SCUBA diving has serious fun, and we want to make sure you have as much fun as possible. Our entry-level SCUBA courses, offered through NAUI and PADI & SSI respectively, will get you, your family, and friends in the water as soon as possible. They also meet your specific training needs.
Never hold your breath
As every good entry-level dive student knows, this is the most important rule of scuba. And for good reason — breath holding underwater can result in serious injury and even death. In accordance with Boyle's law, the air in a diver's lungs expands during ascent and contracts during descent.
As you become a qualified scuba diver, you learn the basics of an essential scuba system. A cylinder, weights, an exposure suit, regulators, BCD gauge and timing device, mask and fins are the bare essentials.
