Our metalworking machines are trusted by clients in a variety of industries.
Gulf States Saw & Machinery Co., Inc. has a complete line of printing finishing support products. These include paper joggers, press sealers, drills, etc.
Centrifugal barrel tumblers are a specialized form of barrel tumblers in which centrifugal force adds to the effects of barrel tumbling.
We have clients that rely on our metalworking machinery in many industries including:
Built in a heavy duty construction with a smaller footprint designed to accommodate a job shop with various applications such as deburring, dross removal, calibrating/dimensioning, edge radiusing or finishing.
The FC 10 Automatic Collator can be described as one of the most versatile and flexible collators currently on the market. It's reliable and easy-to-use, interfaces well with a number of bookletmakers, such as the Gulf States Saw & Machinery Co., Inc. Scrams, and SF2 series.
Do not forget to add the detergent. Although you might believe that the cleaning compound is only for metal parts, the detergent is essential for the tumbling media. Cleaning compound provides lubricity that keeps pores open in the tumble media. The cutting action of the tumble media stops working if the pores become clogged. Metal parts will turn black. You have probably forgotten to add the soap if the parts turn black.
Vibratory tumblers use side-to-side movements to shake a container or bowl in a circular fashion, similar to those used for rock polishing. Finishing occurs when the parts and media are rubbed against each another.
An industrial tumbler machine can perform three types of work, in ascending order by smoothness.
A centrifugal barrel parts tumbler eliminates 95% of the manual work involved in polishing or deburring parts by hand. The reduction in hand sorting is a significant improvement on production and return of investment. A centrifugal barrel finisher eliminates the need to use a microscope to find defects and remove any burrs. This reduces waste and costs.
Polishing is typically a dry process that uses ground-up corn cob media with embedded polishing compound. Dry processing can also be done with ground-up walnut shells.
No matter the number of steps involved, each step should be done independently. This means that you can't do deburring and polishing at the same moment. Instead, first deburr, then polish. If more than one step are needed, the steps must all be done in ascending ordinal order of smoothness.
Our dry metal machines serve industries in woodworking, metalworking, composites, and plastics to allow for more uniform and efficient finishing processes. We distribute our products all over North America to corresponding industries in an effort to help them achieve the best possible finish.
Each Triumph trimmer has either movable or stationary transparent Lexan safety bars. All models have been tested in independent safety labs to ensure they comply with all international safety regulations. All Triumph trimmers have been certified by a quality management program that is based on the DIN EN ISO 9001 2008 standards.
The law of attraction between positively and negatively charged particles underpins the finishing technique of applying a coating to a metal surface. The paint is usually positively charged, while the support to be painted is negatively charged because it is wired to a strong electric field.
Finishing operations, also known as finishing manufacturing, occur at the end of the manufacturing process, after the part has been formed and secondary processes have been completed.
Finishing mortars and concretes; natural and artificial masonry materials; decorative ceramics; materials and items made of wood, paper, glass, plastic, and metals; and paints and varnishes are the most common finishing materials used in modern construction.
