A centrifugal barrel tumbling machine works on the same principle as a Ferris-wheel, but has smaller baskets that are attached to the edges. The centrifugal finishing machine or harperizing systems has 4 barrels. Each one represents a seat in a Ferris wheel. One large flywheel is also included. Each revolution of this flywheel produces one complete rotation for each barrel. The flywheel rotates quickly and produces extremely high centrifugal pressures, up to 15 to 20 times greater than the force of gravity. Under high pressure, the contents slide against each other. The increased pressure allows fast processing of metal parts as well as consistent and smooth finishes.

Centrifugal barrel finishing machines can perform each of these three types of work, also called steps. Depending on surface finishing specifications for your product, not all steps may be necessary. Your process might include a single step, two steps, or three steps.

The speed of the centrifugal barrel tumble machine can be adjusted by the operator. This control allows for finer finishing, polishing and edge smoothing at lower speeds and more aggressive deburring at higher speeds.

You have a number of performance enhancing options for the FC10. The corner stapler attachment allows you to staple up to 10 sheets at one time. Mobility is made easy by the sturdy base on casters. Underwriters Laboratories has certified the FC 10 in Canada and the US.
