What goes into a Piranha pressure brake? Our current models might be relatively new but we have been making press brakes for over a decade. We are proud to have created and engineered some outstanding machines like the single and dual-cylinder press braking systems that our customers still enjoy today. The U.S. steel prices were too expensive to fabricate. Our customers and dealers demanded that we build a new press brake shortly after we had stopped production. They loved the machine, and we made sure they were taken care of. They appreciated the fact that they could shop for and get service for any machine they owned in their shop.

Heavy-duty, spring-loaded die clamps allow for easy, quick die changes. All American style precision and standard tooling is accepted on our machines. Wila (or the equivalent) are available to buy press brakes. European clamping methods and rapid-change powered ram clamping units are available in place of the manual system.

Another variant of the dual cylinder machine, the torque tube brake, has two pistons that produce half of its total tonnage. Torque tube brakes are not able to generate full tonnage across their entire bed. They only have full tonnage within the center of the brake pad. The torque tube pulls tonnage out of each cylinder, which can cause distortion from off-center loading. Standard Industrial single-cylinder brakes have no balancing act and no complicated hydraulic systems to compensate for each individual cylinder's weaknesses. One cylinder is enough to provide full torque everywhere. This allows you to achieve a repeat accuracy of +/*.001'' wherever you are working.

ADR and ADS hydraulic presses brakes are both fast and accurate. These press brakes can match any machine, with accuracy figures of +-.004 and repeatability. Like all JMT press brakes, the concept of large strokes with high openings and deep throats are present in these machines. This allows operators to make parts that have larger flanges and makes it much easier to remove them. A press that is faster, easier to set up, has a better operator interface, and moves at a breakneck pace will result in more parts in the bin at the end of each shift, with higher overall quality.
