Importing files directly to your steel detailing program is preferable. It eliminates unnecessary steps and can also prevent any incorrect data capture. Two distinct groups exist in this respect.

Multi-torch or triple torch CNC beam copier machines usually have three torches. Each torch is dedicated for a web or flange. The triple torch machine takes less time to position than the single torch machine. However, the single torch can make a lot more cuts due to the 5-axis movement and versatility of its cutting head. A majority of triple torch machines are 3-4 times more expensive than our single torch CNC beam-coping machine.

This CNC beam copier with single torch removes the need to manually place your copes.

Voortman CNC Beam Coper's operation is simple. Most of our operators were floor layout men. You don't need any prior computer knowledge and are given full training at the time of installation.

Once you have created an AutoCAD DXF file, import it with the DXF Import Utility (optional).

Voortman was developed to meet all of your needs for plate and structural steel fabrication. Voortman contains the following state of-the-art features that will improve your production.

Voortman

Voortman is able to import DXF files. They can be used to create 3-D shapes as long the steel has been detailed according to certain rules. You might need to adjust some of these rules to match the details you are currently using. This process may not be as seamless as 3-D modeling software.

Voortman is capable of handling almost any type of structural steel fabrication. This includes shaping beams and plates, coping reliefs, and custom profiles. This state-of the-art CNC beam-coping machine can replace your punches and drill lines, band saws and layout and marking stations. It is also easy to use and requires only one technician to operate. Voortman has many benefits, including faster turnarounds and lower waste.

Steel Beam

Structural steel can be used to construct almost every type of structure, from buildings to bridges and ships. There are many variations in the designs of these structures. Steel beams need to be manufactured precisely to match blueprints. Steel beams must be cut to the correct size and thickness.

A CNC beam-coping machine with one torch is a 5-axis machine which uses just one torch to perform all the coping. One torch cuts a beam by cutting at the web first, and then moves on to the blades. It moves sequentially from the web to each of the flanges. The 5-axis torch allows you to perform complex tasks in a virtually unlimited number of positions and directions. The 5-axis torch is capable of performing double miter/bevel cutting on both web and flange - something that multi-torch system are unable do.

6 Beam Clamp

The PCR42 robotic plasma cutting machine does beam coping, notches, holes and weld preps, splits beams, and scribes plus marks on all four faces of H-beams, channels, angles, HSS and plates.

APC 1200, a fully upgraded unit, is available in addition to the basic unit. It is capable of oxy-fuel cutting and plasma combination, both with the torches mounted on a pivoting cylinder head. They can switch between them electronically in under a second and without any need to be done manually. The Plasma is used most of the time to maximize efficiency. It is preprogrammed with the ability to automatically switch over to Oxy Fuel if there is a material thickness that exceeds the Plasma's cut capacity. The laser probing is included in this upgraded unit.

Your detailer then will provide you with a DWG / LTP / PDF file that can be used to print or plot your drawings. He will also provide the NC1 and NC2 files that you can directly import into your machine. Voortman comes standard with the DSTV - Import function.

Dragon's front positioning gate and the chuck are easily adjustable, making it easy for you to load and arrange different shapes and sizes of materials.

To prevent rainwater entering the structure below, copings and caps are used to cover the tops of freestanding walls and parapets made from masonry. You can make them from either profiled metal like lead, aluminium or zinc or special bricks and masonry.

Reinforced concrete beams can be made by embedding steel bars along the lengths of structural members to increase their tensile strength. These beams are the most popular.

Coping is an architectural term that refers to the top course masonry used to "cape" an exterior wall's top. Coping can be sloped or curved to divert water away.

The H beam's cross section is more robust than that of the I beam. This means it can support a heavier load. The cross section of the H beam, on the other hand, can only bear direct load and tensile. However, it cannot resist twisting due to its narrow cross section. It can only bear force in one direction.
