Each drilling axis is equipped with three five-station tool changers. They can drill, mill countersink tap, tap, and scribe. You can also equip this drill line with a Signoscript underside Scriber or Signomat Part Stamping Unit. Even after blasting, painting, and galvanizing, part information can be retained. Minimizing shop errors? Check. Check. High torque drilling axes feature a thicker, more aggressive cut that removes more chips with every rotation. This drill line can chew through beams and tube, channel, angle, tube, and flat bars. Advantage-2 has a processing window that measures 44 inches in width and 18 inches high.

This ability to mill efficiently speeds up project completion. The Advantage-2 user-friendly Raptor 3DCAD/CAM software allows the operator to quickly program parts. The 3D platform allows you to inspect, modify, and export your part information. Advantage-2 drill's greatest advantages are the ability to scribe and mill slots as well as large lifting holes. This machine is truly unique. The scribing allows us to place piece marks, layout lines, and center points. CNC Drill Line is made for fabricators and other job shops that drill holes in various types of steel profiles. You can determine if this machine meets your needs by answering the following questions.

Auto Stand-Off – This is currently defined to be surface stand-off and not to be confused with vector stand-off in 5-axis mode. The current auto stand-off is based on a changing surface and will adjust vertically based on the angle of the “A” Axis, so there is five (5) axis taken into account during the calculations, but this is not the same as the tool vector stand-off. There is the ability to do the vector stand-off change while the machine is running manually with buttons on the screen.

The Franklin HD145 (3) drill spindle CNC spindle, 44-inch wide. The HD-145 can support beams upto 775 lbs per ft. The hi-performance spindle design offers drilling speeds up to 2,200 RPM. This rigid design can deliver extremely high feed rates upto 300 feet per second. The Franklin HD145 is available with many material handling packages ranging in weight from 300 lbs/foot to 750.

Concrete beams can be strengthened with steel reinforcement rods. A beam is subject to tension at the bottom and compression at its top. Concrete is strong enough to withstand great compression but very fragile when it experiences tension.

Divide the beam's span in inches by 20 to calculate its required depth. A 25' span would equal 25x12 / 20, which is 15 inches. This beam's width would vary between 1/3 to 1/2 its depth.
