How do I choose a beam size
Voortman is the only manufacturer of the CNC Beam Drill Line for GSS Machinery. Voortman takes care of all aspects of the CNC Beam Drill Line's installation, warranty, maintenance and repair. Voortman provides the service, but GSS Machinery can always be reached if required.
Your operator will be trained in Peddimat. You might have customers who bring a couple of pieces with them.

The Franklin HD145 (3) spindle-cNC drill is 44 inches wide. The HD-145 can lift beams of up to 750 lbs per feet. The high-performance spindle design allows drilling speeds of up to 2000 RPM. The rigid design of the spindle allows for very aggressive feed rates, up to 300 ft per minute. There are many material handling options available for the Franklin HD145, from 300 lbs to 750 pounds per foot.

Remote assistance can't solve all problems. Still, there are common mechanical issues or questions that require human attention. Voortman machines include high definition web cameras with software. It is no good having a CNC drilling machine if it doesn’t enable a fabricator compete at the top of the steel fabrication field. Advantage-2 allows you to process technical programmes with speed and intelligence. Each drilling axis includes three five-station tool changers. Each can drill, countersink and tap as well. Signomat underside scribers or part stamping units are also possible to be fitted to this drill-line. Part information is kept even after blasting, painting and galvanizing. Minimizing shop errors? Check. Advantage-2 drills more aggressively and produces more holes than any other line of drilling. High torque drilling axes have thicker, more aggressive cuts that extract more chips with each turn. This drill line can eat through beams as well channel, angle and tube. Advantage-2 is able to process any profile up to 44 inches wide x 18 inches tall.
The CNC Beam Drill Line can import DXF files and can use them to process 3-D shapes as long as the steel is detailed according to specific rules. Some of these rules might be different to the way you are detailing at the moment and might require some adjustment. This process is not nearly as seamless as the 3-D modeling software solutions above.

Drill blowout can be prevented by attaching a scrap of wood to the backside the piece that you are drilling on. When you drill the whole, wood that would have otherwise "blown out", hits the scrap wood instead and stays in place.
There are some guidelines and rules. According to IS 456:2000, the minimum thickness of RCC beams should not be less that 9'' (230mm). Therefore, RCC beams must be at least 9'' (230mm thick). Concrete grade M20 with T12 as tension bar at bottom and T10 at the top is recommended.
