Z-Reader Probe – The Z-Reader is a device for mapping the location of the surface. It can be controlled manually & programmatically. The option is NOT active while cutting & is retracted out of harm’s way. It can be triggered to verify the surface at every pierce before the cutting process starts, or it could be used to drive surface mapping of the whole part before cutting starts. It begins with initialization or zeroing of the device to the surface at the beginning of a program and then accumulates or tracks the difference from that zeroing effort.

Advantage-2 uses a series support clamps to ensure that the workpiece is as rigid as possible through the machine. The minimum vibration is the best way to extend carbide tool life.

Each of our beam drill line machines have linear guides, central lubrication, and a tool cooling system to ensure smooth operation and lower maintenance. Within each coordinate system there is a 4 station tool changer, allowing it to drill, mill, scribe, counter sink, or tap as needed; tools can even be swapped out mid-operation easily and without disruption. Positive beam positioning consists of an arm attached to a rack and pinion system on the feed conveyor to more accurately position the beam as it goes through the drill line, maintaining .004”, making our steel beam drill lines much more accurate than friction roller machines.
Not every problem can be diagnosed with remote assistance. Mechanical issues or questions that require the human eye are still common. These drop-in stainless grippers allow you to secure base plates or flat bars, angle, or other profiles that might have rounded edges and want to push away the datum line.
Concrete beams can be strengthened with steel reinforcement rods. A beam is subject to tension at the bottom and compression at its top. Concrete is strong enough to withstand great compression but very fragile when it experiences tension.
It is possible to drill into metal screws without causing damage. In many cases, drilling into metal screws will be necessary. If you're using the stud for weight bearing, drill pilot holes first.
Drill Lines Wire Rope Bright drill lines are made from a multi-threaded, twisty wire rope. It is specially designed for drilling rigs as well as hoisting and lowering the drill pipes through a wellbore. As it is constantly in motion, the wire rope construction is very durable and resists abrasion.
C-Channel. . . . This beam profile is very popular for auxiliary beams. Although it is also used for main beams it is more popular for cross members. C-Channel is usually stronger than tube in the vertical direction (as shown in the beam profile chart image).
Tempered steel Drill pipe is generally made of tempered steel. Drill pipe sections are usually between 30 and 33 feet in length. This is for cost-saving reasons as well as transport reasons.
