Cnc Beam Drill Line Length

The CNC Drill Line is a 100% hydraulic machine making maintenance and parts exceptionally affordable. The CNC Drill Line was designed specifically to be used throughout the world and thus uses only components from major manufacturers, most of which can be sourced in the local market. Voortman keeps all parts on hand for next day delivery in the USA. In most of our overseas countries we offer local service and support.

It is obviously preferable to import files directly from your steel detailing software because it eliminates an unnecessary step and also eliminates possible incorrect data capture. There are two separate and distinct camps in this respect:

Remote assistance is not always possible. It is still possible to have mechanical problems or ask questions that require a human eye. Voortman machines ship with high-definition webcams and software. Voortman employees can experience the installation's activity without ever leaving their office. In situations where communication is difficult or impossible, the webcam can be of great value.

The Franklin HD145 (3) spindle-cNC drill is 44 inches wide. The HD-145 can lift beams of up to 750 lbs per feet. The high-performance spindle design allows drilling speeds of up to 2000 RPM. The rigid design of the spindle allows for very aggressive feed rates, up to 300 ft per minute. There are many material handling options available for the Franklin HD145, from 300 lbs to 750 pounds per foot.

AC Unit Mounted on Electrical Cabinet. The unit is located on the cabinet's High-Power (480v) side. It is located close to where the drives are installed. This allows for faster heat dissipation and keeps the cabinet's temperature stable. All axes have servo drives that are the main contributors to heat in the electrical cabinet.

What good is a CNC drill line if it doesn't position a fabricator to compete at a high level in the steel fabrication arena. The Advantage-2 has the functionality to process technical programs with intelligence and speed. Equipped with three five-station tool changers, each drilling axis has the capability to drill, mill, countersink, tap and scribe. This drill line can also be equipped with a Signoscript underside scriber or Signomat part stamping unit. Part information is retained even after painting, blasting and galvanizing processes. Minimizing shop errors? Check. Carbide tooling gives the Advantage-2 more aggressive drilling and a higher quantity of holes than any drill line before it. The high torque drilling axes have a thicker more aggressive cut removing more chips with each rotation. This drill line will chew through beams, channel, angle, tube and even flat bar. With a processing window of 44 inches wide and 18 inches tall no profile can escape the reach of the Advantage-2.

Voortman offers 24 hour technical support for our global clients. Voortman's service personnel have many years of experience working in the field, assembly or factory checkout. This allows them to be familiar with all types of machines. Voortman has a service team that is available 24/7 to answer your questions.

Voortman's beam drill line design is intelligent not only because of its capabilities, but also because it can be easily plugged into any environment due to its modularity. Tandem solutions that include band saws, robotic coppers, and PeddiWriters expand the shop’s throughput positioning. This allows for a more economical approach to the steel industry when it cools down and a more aggressive approach as the industry heats up. Voortman created the Multmaster to make it possible for even the smallest parts to be turned into a tandem bandsaw. Fabricators will make more money by using the entire profile and minimising the remnant. Increase your output Check. Material handling is essential for any Voortman CNC drill lines to make a profit. Fabricators can lose money each time a profile has to be manually moved. However, material handling is safer than using fork trucks or cranes for the most heavy profiles.

Twist Drill

Let's examine the real world fabrication situation and compare Insert Drill Bits with Twist Drill Bits. We'll only look at one example: 13/16 inches (22mm) is the most widely drilled hole.

Voortman has shaped today’s CNC beam drill line standard with time-tested technology. The Advantage-2 processes an average of 150 tons of steel per work week with the most efficient drilling, milling, scribing, tapping and countersinking operations.

Because you might get a request from a customer for a couple pieces of steel that require holes or layout markings, you will need to train your operator in Peddimat.

This Morse Taper Chuck adaptor allows for standard parallel shank drill bits to be used when drilling smaller diameters. It permits a maximum drill size of? It permits a maximum diameter of 12mm (12mm) as well as a minimum diameter 3/64’’ (1mm).

For 50 years we have been developing machines and solutions for you as a steel fabricator. We focus on automation as a response to the ever-decreasing ability to find quality labor and rising labor costs, so you can lower your overall production costs and increase your margins. You can ensure the utmost productivity, accuracy and reliability with one of Voortman’s CNC Beam Drill lines. Our CNC Beam Drill Lines integrate many functions like drilling, milling, marking, countersinking, thread-tapping and more to increase capacity and automation and optimize your workflow. Due to Voortman's complete range of advanced Beam Drill Lines, there is a suitable Beam Drill Line solution for every type of production or company.

The CNC Drill Line not only lays out and drills all your holes in any steel profile in a fraction of the time it takes you to do it manually with a mag drill, but it also lays out the marks for all your welded attachments, virtually eliminating the need for a tape measure.

Frequently Asked Questions

A 10mm diameter bar can be used to reinforce a beam's longitudinally, but this all depends on the beam's size, span, and the load placed over it. The designer determines the steel cross-section area required when designing.

Avoid drilling vertical holes through LVL beams if the beam width is less than 3-1/2 inches. Before drilling vertical holes through LVL beams, consult an engineer or an architect who is qualified in wood design.

Use a slow speed to drill. The slower a bit spins the more hot it becomes. And heat dulls bits quickly. It is a good idea for drill bits to be used at a slow speed when drilling through metal. Drill bits for hard metals such as steel and larger diameters require slower speeds.

A cobalt-blend drill bit is the best for drilling hardened metals or steel. This alloy includes 5% to 8% cobalt. The cobalt is a part of the steel mixture, so it doesn't wear away with a coating (like titanium bits).

To reduce the chance of the beam escaping from the concrete column, the development length is required. It acts as a support member for the reinforced beam within the concrete column.
