The tonnage of a Hydraulic Press Brake, also known as the Press Capacity, is what determines how large a work-piece can be processed by the Press Brake. It is also the unit of force measurement that a press brake can deliver. This is what bends work pieces into desired/specific degrees. Our Press Brakes can handle tonnages from 30 to 3000 tons, while the bed lengths start at 4 feet and go up to nearly 30 feet.
It's obvious that press brakes can be a very useful tool for industrial-grade metalworkers. Do you need a press brake for your business? Gulf States Saw & Machine. Co offers everything you need to make your business a success.
The machine runs on a double-axis back gauge system. It can also perform automated bending step calculation. These servoelectric Press Brakes are precise and easy to use.
In addition to being industry-leading in production, our machines also come equipped with intuitive operator control that takes the stress out daily operation for operators of all skill levels.
There are two ways press brakes can bend metal. The first is called bottom bending because the ram will press the metal to the bottom of the die. Bottom bending results in highly accurate bends and relies less on the press brake machine itself. The downside is each tool is they're made to create one specific bend, so you’ll need to purchase a new one for every angle you want to make. Air bending leaves an air pocket between the ram and the bottom of the die. This allows the operator to accommodate for any spring back the material might provide. These types of dies only need to be changed if the material’s thickness is too much. Air bending’s drawback is the accuracy of the angle is affected by the material’s thickness, so the ram needs to be changed out accordingly.
Unique technology that delivers high-quality, efficient results to all press brake operators.
Press Brake HydraulicImagine giant, intelligent, large press brakes with a vast range of tonnages, lengths, loading/unloading metal material handling and an infinite number of bending lengths. Our high tonnage mega presses brakes feature an advanced engineered technology "box-construction" frame design. This gives our mega brakes one of the strongest and most stable machines in the world. All of our references around the globe are impressed by the exceptional stability and rigidity that our large high tonnage presses brakes have, thanks to our box-construction frame design. Our high tonnage presses are designed to minimize large pieces being handled before, during, or after the bending operation. This allows for the next process to be respected.
This method can achieve high levels in angular precision. This method is good for sheet metal exceeding 2 mm in thickness.
Backed by Standard Industrial's reputation for durability and repeatability, our press brake machines offer important advantages over other models.
Whatever your bending needs may be, the BB series will meet them all.
The press brake is an indispensable tool for any industrial-grade worker. Are you looking for a quality press brake to help your business run smoothly? Gulf States Saw & Machine. Co has everything your company needs to succeed.
Bottom bending is when the punch curves the sheet of metal with a higher force than air bending. This reduces, or even eliminates, the spring back effect that is commonly associated with airbending. Cold forging is then performed at the bottom.
Flexible and reliable bending performance thanks to the patented HEXA®-C(r), frame - all in a compact package.
We also have a range of Press Brakes designed on the hydraulic control system. Its bending capacity is capable of handling thick work-pieces. As a result of its tonnage capacity, it works efficiently on any thick metal material. This range is built in either Single Cylinder or Dual Cylinder Y1+Y2 formats and requires no complex operation to function. Materials that can be processed on our Press Brakes include steel, brass, metal sheets, and aluminum alloys.
Hydraulic presses can be used for forging and clinching, moulding blanking, punching as well as metal forming operations like deep drawing and blanking. Hydraulic presses can also be used for rubber pad forming and powder compacting.
Finally, a neodymium magnetic magnet beat a hydraulic press.
Rapid braking Can cause slipping or sliding if you brake too fast. Slowly brake by gently putting your foot on the pedal. You should leave enough space between you and the driver in front to ensure a generous stopping distance.
A 10-foot press brake can be expensive.
The press brake works by using a punch or die to bend or cut metal in a variety shapes and forms.
